Given what the villainous teams can do with a meteorite, it's only natural to be worried about what someone might do with a fossil.
Years ago, a reader from the UK told me he imagined my version of Mr. Stone speaking with the voice of Lord Alan Sugar (a British business mogul, politician, and television personality). That's always stuck with me, and has probably had some influence on the way I write his lines and draw his facial expressions.
Apart from that, Mr. Stone is a funny man to draw because his head is an octagon. There is also a strong temptation to keep making his hair spikes longer and longer. Considering what his son looks like, I guess stiff pointy hair runs in the family.
