I was looking back at some of my older pages, and noticed that the first 20 pages were all the exact same length: 2500 pixels. I would just start drawing at the top of the page and then stop at whatever point I reached by the bottom.
Nowadays even my shorter pages tend to be at least 4000 pixels, and the long ones much longer. I start with an end point in mind and keep expanding the page until I get there. This way probably makes for a better reading experience, though it can make the pages slower to draw.
At some point along the way, I also realized I could upload the black-and-white pages (like this one) as gif files instead of png, since gif supports 256 colours which is all the shades of grey that exist in the RGB colour space. Makes the file sizes smaller. Maybe there's someone out there on a slow network connection who appreciates it.
