Some time ago, I remarked that I was caught between the two competing goals of making my pages look nicer and getting them done faster. These days, I would add a third goal: the drive to experiment and try new things. This page was an experiment with depicting night scenes using white-on-black instead of black-on-white art. I like the way it came out on the trees, but not so much the way it looks on faces. I found it very hard not to make them look weird, especially if I tried to include the mouth.
Guess what! With this page, my comic has reached the milestone total of 2,000 panels. Yeah, I'm such a nerd that I keep track of that.
