So that happened. My game notes say, "Hiker Eric — Baltoy. Triki couldn't hurt. Bamboo switched into self-destruct, but survived. Rudy took down second Baltoy." I'm not certain what level Bamboo was at this point, or how close she came to fainting, but I imagine it was a close call.
The "H2O!" panel is a bit of a callback to the early days of this comic. You can compare today's version to the one from page 8 and see how my art has changed.
Hiker Eric's actual dialogue: "Mt. Chimney's Jagged Pass... Now this is what I've always wanted in a mountain! This jagged bumpiness... It rocks my soul!" When drawing the page, I sort of mixed it up in my mind with the "Mah Boi!" line from Legend of Zelda: Faces of Evil. But I decided it was funnier this way, so I kept it.
My wife really wanted me to name this page "Bamboom."
